ReuniteIndia is an information aggregation platform and does not replace law-enforcement investigations or official missing-person databases. Aggregated public records are attributed to their original source rather than independently re-investigated by ReuniteIndia. New reports submitted directly through the platform go through a separate manual verification step — see 'Report a Missing Person' below — before being published. Users should refer to the original source and relevant authorities for official information.

ReuniteIndia collects publicly available missing-person information from sources such as official government and police announcements, public statements, and publicly accessible social-media posts.

2. Source Attribution

Each record is connected to its original public source whenever available. Users can view the original post or announcement to understand where the information originated.

3. Information Organization

Information published across multiple sources is organized into a standardized, searchable format—including details like name, state/location, last seen details, source, and date. This structuring process is assisted by AI tools that help extract and organize details from raw posts and official lists — flagging likely duplicate reports for manual review — with a person confirming accuracy before anything is published.

4. Case Updates

When reliable public updates indicate that a person has been located, reunited, or that the status of a case has changed, ReuniteIndia updates the relevant record and preserves source details where appropriate.
